Our Approach to Estate Planning

Salines-Mondello Law Firm implements a proven strategy to help clients with their estate planning needs. Our process heavily involves the support of a financial planning team. In return, we are able to provide tailored legal advice and decision-making for both the client and the financial professionals with whom we work.

To best serve our clients and their financial team, we:

  • Preview the client’s case. The first step in our financial estate planning process is to have the client fill out a welcome kit questionnaire before any consultation takes place. This facilitates a more productive first meeting, and can help us narrow down the client’s goals.
  • Provide an estimate. At our initial consultation, we provide the client with general recommendations and a fee quote for the services we’ll provide. They will sign or take home a retainer agreement.
  • Stay in constant contact. While we implement the services the client has agreed upon, we’ll maintain ongoing communication with the client to ask clarifying questions, obtain additional documents, and discuss options and tradeoffs.
  • Keep the client informed. We don’t believe a client should sign any document without fully understanding its content and ramifications. Thus, we dedicate a significant amount of time to helping clients sign the documents, explaining each section of the plan and answering any questions the client may have.
  • Work with you. Once the client has signed their estate planning documents, we don’t hesitate to work with both them and you to ensure funding/asset alignment is completed properly. We also provide ongoing support to clients through our seminar programs and annual client appreciation reception.

At Salines-Mondello Law Firm, we understand that every professional organization has different processes when it comes to handling estate planning. We’re happy to work within your processes, or blend our respective methodologies. We welcome the opportunity to serve our clients in a team environment.
